Blossvale man charged with sex abuse of child

BLOSSVALE, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Blossvale man has been charged with sex abuse after an incident that authorities say took place almost two years ago.

According to Chief Dean Obernesser of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, William Blake, 20, of the Rome was charged with first-degree sex abuse following an investigation into a sexual assault of a minor that occurred nearly two years ago.

Blake was arraigned in New York Mills Court and remanded to the Oneida County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.

The case has been referred to the Oneida County District Attorney's Office for Grand Jury consideration.

The victim has been offered counseling through the Child Advocacy Center.
