NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - An employee at a credit union in New Hartford has been charged after an audit showed she had stolen close to $60,000 from the institution.
According to New Hartford Police, Catherine Marriott, 41, of Waterville has been charged with grand larceny, falsifying business records and identity theft.
Authorities say that during a routine audit at UMICO Federal Credit Union, it was discovered that Marriott had stolen $58,000 from the credit union.
She was arraigned in the Town of New Hartford Court and is scheduled to return to court later in the week.
