Man accused of selling stolen chain saws to pawn shop

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - A New Hartford man has been charged after authorities say he sold stolen chain saws to a pawn shop.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, William R. Santana, 42, of New Hartford has been charged with third-degree possession of stolen property.

Investigators say Santana had sold 14 Husqvarna chain saws that had been stolen from George Kahler Sales in Verona back in June to a Utica Pawn Shop. Through the investigation, several of the chain saws were recovered.

Santana was booked and then taken to the Utica Police Lockup and was arraigned Tuesday morning in Utica City Court.

The investigation is still ongoing.
