New victim surfaces, new charges for Vernon Center man

VERNON CENTER, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Vernon Center man charged with rape and criminal sexual act last week is now facing additional charged, authorities said on Monday.

According to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a new victim surfaced, leading to new charges of third-degree rape and third-degree criminal sex act for Glenn Wallis Jr., 27, of Vernon Center.

Last week, authorities said Wallis was charged with two felony counts of third-degree rape and two felony counts of third-degree criminal sex act and were looking for any other possible victims.

Following these new charges, Wallis was arraigned in Town of Vernon Court and remanded to the Oneida County Correctional Facility in lieu of $30,000 cash bail.

The investigation continues and anyone with information on Wallis, or the possibility of additional victims, is asked to call the Child Advocacy Center at 315-732-3990.

The victim has been offered counseling through the Advocacy Center.
