Three adults charged for allegedly threatening school bus driver and kids
LEE, N.Y. (WKTV) - Oneida County Sheriff's released details Friday of a December 21 incident in the Town of Lee where three adults are accused of forcing their way onto a school bus and began making threats to the children and driver.
According to authorities, it all started on December 21, 2012 on a school bus on Brookfield Road in the Town of Lee. The Sheriff's Office states that two minor aged children were involved in an altercation on the school bus where one of them was reported to have sustained a minor injury. The bus driver pulled to the side of Brookfield Road and separated the two youths by bringing the injured party to the front of the bus and an ambulance was dispatched to evaluate the child's injuries.
Investigators say that as the bus sat on the side of Brookfield Road, a man later identified as Arthur D. Bronson Jr, 54, of Lee approached the bus and demanded the driver open the door. When the driver refused, authorities say Bronson continued to grab the doors and force them open damaging them. As he did this, Arthur D. Bronson III, 29, of Lee reportedly approached the bus and began to make threats of harm to the bus driver and children on the bus.
Authorities said the driver continued to keep them off the bus and radioed to his dispatch who then contacted police. The driver was then instructed to allow the child off the bus if his family was present.
At that time, investigators say Nicole L. Bronson, 33, of Lee entered the bus and made threatening remarks. After the child was removed from the bus, the driver left the area and waited a safe distance away for the police to arrive because he felt his safety and the safety of the children was being questioned, authorities said.
On January 4, 2013, the three adults were arrested as a result of the incident.

He was arraigned in the Town of Annsville Court and ordered to be held with bail being set at $5000. He will appear in the Town of Lee Court at a later date for further proceedings.
