Authorities investigate armed robbery at Arby's in Oneonta

ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Otsego County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Arby's on State Highway 7 in the east end of the Town of Oneonta on July 23 around 9:25 p.m.

A 911 call was received at the Sheriff's Office reporting the robbery and Sheriff's deputies, including a K-9 unit and Sheriff's Office investigators, along with Oneonta Police Department patrols and Oneonta State Troopers responding to the scene.

An Arby's employee reported that an individual dressed in camouflage entered the restaurant while brandishing a knife and demanded money as employees were closing for the evening. The suspect, who is described as a younger, white male, between 5'04" and 5'06" and weighing 120 to 140 pounds, took an undisclosed amount of money during the armed robbery.

The suspect was last seen leaving the business on foot towards the rear of the building. At the time of the interviews the suspect was believed to be wearing camouflage pants, a long sleeved camouflage shirt, camouflage knit cap and head net type mask as well as gloves.
