Man charged in Oneonta arson to undergo psychiatric evaluation

ONEONTA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The man who allegedly set fire behind Community Bank in the City of Oneonta is scheduled to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

Gable Bugel just finished serving a sentence for setting two dumpsters on fire in 2007.

He was facing charges once again after an incident in mid-April that involved a fire behind Community Bank. It came around the same time as five other fires in the city within the same week.

Oneonta Police say Bugel's case is separate from that investigation.

He is due back in court on June 12.
