ONEONTA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A former Oneonta man who is incarcerated at the Otsego County Jail is now facing new charges after authorities say he sold heroin in the City of Oneonta.

According to the Otsego County Sheriff's Office, Aaron B. Fleischer, 27, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Authorities said that in January 2012, a quantity of heroin was purchased from Fleischer in the City of Oneonta.

Fleischer, who is presently an inmate in the Otsego County Jail being held on $50,000 bail on an unrelated drug charge, was arrested on this latest charge early Monday morning.

He was arraigned in Oneonta City Court and remanded back to the Otsego County Correctional Facility on an additional $25,000 bail returnable next month in City Court. If convicted, Fleischer faces up to 12 years in prison due to a previous felony drug possession conviction in 2010.

The Otsego County Probation Department and New York State Department of Community Supervision assisted with the investigation.
