Oneonta man charged after allegedly choking girlfriend

ONEONTA, N.Y. (WKTV) - An Oneonta man has been arrested by New York State Police after a domestic dispute where authorities say he choked his girlfriend.

According to State Police, Dennis I. Garcon, 21, of Oneonta has been charged with second-degree harassment and criminal obstruction of breathing.

Authorities said the charges are the result of a domestic dispute at Garcon's apartment in Oneonta where he allegedly grabbed his girlfriend by the neck and choked her, leaving red marks on her neck.

Garcon was arraigned in the Town of Oneonta Court and remanded to the Otsego County Jail.
