182 pounds of marijuana, prescription drugs seized at Otsego County residences

WORCESTER COURT, N.Y. (WKTV) - Three men are facing charges in Otsego County after a large drug bust in the Town of Worcester Court.

On January 7, authorities seized 183 pounds of marijuana, 72 hydrocodone tablets, 26 oxycodone tablets and three guns from 196 Head Road. Another two pounds of marijuana and small amounts of ketamine, psilocybin mushrooms and hashish were found at 124 Boughton Road.

Both properties were rented by 27-year-old Nicholas Lucas, of Worcester. He was arrested and charged with criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, and criminal possession of a weapon. Authorities say that Lucas is facing more felony charges because of the prescription medication found in his possession.

Lucas is already a two-time convicted felon, according to the Otsego County Sheriff's office.

An investigation revealed that two California men, Carey Glover and Steve Scott, delivered the 183 pounds of marijuana to the Head Road residence. They are both charged with conspiracy, which is a felony.

Police also say that they seized over $154,000.

Lucas was sent to the Otsego County Correctional Facility without bail, due to his previous convictions. Scott and Glover both had bails posted.

Lucas faces up to eight years in prison for the charges, with an additional 12 years pending due to the possible additional charges.
