Otsego County convenience store robbed at gunpoint


HARTWICK, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Otsego County Sheriff's Office is looking for information regarding a robbery that took place at a local convenience store on Thursday.

According to officials, at approximately 9:25 p.m. units from the Sheriff's Office, Cooperstown Police Department, and NYS Police were dispatched to the Pit Stop Convenience store on Highway 28, after reports of a robbery that took place there.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers discovered that the suspects had fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspects are described as two white males, one with a husky build, one with a skinny build, both wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, masks, and gloves. It was also confirmed that one of them was armed with a handgun.

The investigation revealed that one of the suspects went to the cashier counter, while the other held the clerk at gunpoint, and forced him into a bathroom. The first suspect then proceeded to take an undetermined amount of cash before both fled the scene.
