Two men facing weapon and drug charges following Otsego County traffic stop

MARYLAND, N.Y. (WKTV) - Two men are facing weapon and drug charges following a traffic stop in Otsego County.

According to New York State Police out of Oneonta, Daren P. Lorrain, 37, of Lebanon, Tennessee and Rudloph E. Ahlquist, 53, of Gorham, Maine were charged following the stop on I-88 in Maryland on Sunday, April 1.

State Police said that Lorraine has been charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Ahlquist was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Both men were arraigned in the Town of Maryland Court and remanded to the Otsego County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
