Floyd man accused of pointing assault rifle at ex-girlfriend


FLOYD, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Floyd man is now facing charges after authorities said he pointed an assault rifle at his ex-girlfriend.

According to State Police, the ex-girlfriend of Dion L. Pugh, 36, of Floyd, arrived at Pugh's residence around 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning to retrieve some of her belongings. While she was attempting to get her belongings from the residence, Pugh allegedly pointed an assault rifle at her and told her to leave the property.

State Police said Pugh was found to be in possession of a Norinco SKS assault rifle with ammunition and have now charged him with second-degree menacing, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Pugh is currently being held without bail at the Oneida County Jail and is slated to re-appear in Town of Floyd Court Monday evening at 6:30 p.m.
