Authorities seek man suspected of stealing donation jar from Rome business

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Rome Police are attempting to identify an unknown suspect who they believe was involved in the theft of a donation jar that contained money being collected to help in the fight against childhood cancer.

At 1:44 a.m. on Friday, March 16th, police say a male seen in surveillance footage is seen entering the Xtra Mart located on East Dominick Street in Rome. While in the store, police say he is seen removing a donation can which contained money that was being collected to help in the fight against childhood cancer.

Authorities ask that if you know the identity of the male seen in the photo, Rome Police would like to hear from you.
