CT man accused of having sex with underage female in Rome

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Connecticut man has been arrested after allegedly having sex with girl under the age of 17 in the City of Rome.

According to New York State Police, Brandon A. Mills, 23, of New Haven, Connecticut is charged with third-degree rape after allegedly having sexual intercourse with a female under the age of 17 in the City of Rome on Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

Mills was arraigned in City of Rome Court and sent to the Oneida County Jail on $20,000 bail.

Authorities said the victim in this case is receiving services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.

State Police were assisted by members of the City of Rome Police Department in this investigation.
