Rome woman sentenced in attempted contract killing


UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A city of Rome woman accused of trying to have her estranged husband killed was sentenced in Oneida County Court on Wednesday.

Through tears, Angela Tefft heard her sentenced of three to nine years in prison for conspiracy.

Police say Tefft told her boyfriend that she wanted her abusive, estranged husband dead. The boyfriend went to police and authorities said Tefft wound up paying an undercover Rome Police Officer a $200 deposit to kill her husband, leading to her arrest.
