Three charged in two separate drug raids in City of Rome

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Three people are facing charges following two separate drug raids in the City of Rome.

Rome Police arrested two individuals and seized heroin and crack cocaine following the execution of a search warrant in Rome around 8:30 a.m. on April 25.

That morning, members of the Rome Police Department Detective Division/S.I.U., Special Response Team and Oneida County Drug Task Force, executed a no-knock search warrant at 309 Cottage Street and once inside the residence, officers seized 434 bags of heroin, over one ounce of crack cocaine and $950 in cash.

Police arrested Kia S. Robinson, 30, who resided at the residence, along with Shamel B. Greene, 29, of Utica.

Robinson and Greene were both charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and are being held at the Rome Police lockup pending arraignment in Rome City Court.

In a separate incident, a female was charged following a warrant execution at an apartment on North George Street later that day.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, members of the Rome Police Department Detective/S.I.U., Special Response Team and Oneida County Drug Task Force, executed a no-knock search warrant at 504 North George Street in a first floor apartment.

Inside, police seized a small amount of crack cocaine and arrested Brigitte L. Henderson, 41.

Henderson was charged with one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and was being held in Rome Police lockup pending arraignment in Rome City Court.
