Two men charged for burglary of Westmoreland home
ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Two Rome men are facing charges after authorities say they were responsible for stealing electronics and money from a home in Westmoreland. According to New York State Police, the month-long investigation ended with the arrests of Michael J. Calandra, 32 and Coccagnia, 34, both of Rome. Calandra has been charged with second-degree burglary, was arraigned in the Town of Floyd Court and was sent to the Oneida County Jail on $30,000 bail. Coccagnia was charged with second-degree burglary and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. He was arraigned in the Town of Westmoreland Court and sent to the Oneida County Jail on $20,000 bail. New York State Police say the two forced their way into a home on Skinner Road in the Town of Westmoreland and stole money and numerous electronic items from within.
