Two charged after drugs found in Steuben Street apartment

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Two Uticans are facing charges after police found them in possession of drugs at a Steuben Street apartment.

On April 8, 2010 at roughly 6 a.m., members of the Utica Police Department's METRO Unit, along with members of the Emergency Response Team executed a no-knock search warrant at 1515 Steuben Street in Utica.

Within the apartment, authorities located crack-cocaine, packaging materials and cash.

Two individuals have been charged.

Jamar Sessome, 17, is now charged with unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Elvira Palmer, 43, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
