Complaint of smoking in dorm leads to discovery of sawed-off shotgun at MVCC

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Peace officers at Mohawk Valley Community College made a disturbing discovery in a campus dorm room on Saturday.
The officers were called to the dorm for a complaint about smoking inside, but during the investigation, officers discovered a sawed-off 20 gauge rifle in the room.
Deandre Young, 18, of White Plains was arrested by the officers and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a felony.
