Four charged after crashing stolen vehicle and fleeing scene

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Four Utica teenagers are facing several charges after police say they were driving a stolen car, crashed the vehicle and then fled the scene Saturday in the city.

Those arrested are:
• Tyriek Berry (age 17, of Steuben Street, Utica)
• Takell Henry (age 16, of Belmont Avenue, Utica)
• Nyala Wilson (age 19, of Steuben Street, Utica)
• Jaquedda Jackson (age 18, of Lansing Street, Utica)

According to Utica Police, 17-year-old Tyriek Berry of Utica, was driving the car when he traveled the wrong way on Lansing Street near Third Avenue and struck another car. The suspects all fled the scene, according to police.

All four were apprehended in the area of Arthur and West Streets and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The driver, Tyriek Berry, is additionally charged with leaving the scene of a property damage motor vehicle accident, having no driver's license, driving the wrong way on a one-way street, failing to yield the right of way, and speeding.
