Fugitive found at Milgate Street residence in Utica

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A fugitive from justice sought by numerous law enforcement agencies has been located at a Utica address.
On Wednesday, authorities said they were looking for Louis O. Wright, who was wanted by the Utica Police Department on four counts of first-degree criminal contempt. The charges are in connection with a domestic violence investigation being conducted by Utica PD. Police say Wright continued to stalk the victim of the domestic violence even after warrants were issued for his arrest.
Authorities said since Wright was featured throughout the media on Wednesday, investigators were able to develop where Wright was hiding.
At 11:20 a.m. on Friday, Task Force members executed a search warrant at 513 Milgate Street in the city of Utica. Wright was located inside the first floor apartment and arrested.
The investigation continues and additional charges are being considered against the occupants of 513 Milgate Street for their role in attempting to aid Wright in avoiding capture.
