UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica man is facing charges after allegedly cutting, punching, and sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend. According to Utica Police, officers arrived to Kennedy Plaza around 4 a.m. on Friday, April 19, where they found an injured woman who told them her ex-boyfriend came to her residence and assaulted her. When she tried to call the police, he allegedly broke her phone, then sexually assaulted her and threatened to kill her. Police say the suspect passed out at one point and the victim was able to flee and call the police. Investigators, along with the U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force located the man Tuesday and took him into custody. Marquis Boykin, 22, of Utica has now been charged with aggravated criminal contempt, second-degree assault, second-degree menacing and first-degree criminal sexual act.
