One-time SU Basketball player among those charged in prostitution sting

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A one-time Syracuse University basketball player and Proctor High School graduate has been charged after allegedly patronizing a prostitute in the City of Utica.

On June 14-15, 2011, the Utica Police Special Operations Unit conducted a reverse prostitution detail. As a result, the following individuals were arrested:

*Joshua Wright, 25, of Utica was charged with third-degree patronizing a prostitute (misdemeanor) and loitering for the purpose of engaging in prostitution (violation).

*Israel Rosado, 39, of Utica was charged with loitering for the purpose of engaging in prostitution (violation), aggravated unlicensed operation (misdemeanor) and an open warrant for harassment.

*Jacob Groben, 38, of Clinton was charged with loitering for the purpose of engaging in prostitution (violation).

*Edward McInnis, 54, of Utica was charged with loitering for the purpose of engaging in prostitution (violation).

*Stephen Grant, 43, of Utica was charged with loitering for the purpose of engaging in prostitution (violation).
