By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica man is facing charges after police say he threatened to kill his wife and then punched her.

According to Utica Police, Clifford Bleau, 48, of Utica, allegedly came home highly intoxicated and threatened to kill his wife. He allegedly then punched his wife on the right side of the head with a closed fist, police said. He is also accused of trying to deflate his wife's car tires.

When the wife attempted to stop him, police say Bleau punched her in the face again and pushed her to the ground. The entire incident was a violation of a family court order of protection to refrain from acts of violence towards his wife, police said.

He is now charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment.
