Police investigate after car bumper sustains gunshot

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Police are investigating after a woman reported that her vehicle had sustained a bullet hole in the front bumper while parked in Utica.

According to Utica Police, around 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, the vehicle was parked in front of 1017 White Place in Utica when the women noticed the bullet hole and called authorities.

During the course of their investigation, police recovered ten 9mm spent shell casings on the 700 block of Rutger Street. The shell casings are believed to be from the incident on White Place.
