State Trooper accused of breaking into home, assaulting homeowner, indicted by grand jury

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The New York State Trooper that is accused of drunkenly breaking into a south Utica home and assaulting the homeowner has been indicted by an Oneida County Grand Jury.

According to the Oneida County District Attorney's Office, Jesse Miller is charged with criminal trespass, criminal mischief and assault for the incident that happened in January.

Miller is accused of kicking in the front door of a home on Beverly Place and began a fight with the homeowner, whose family had just moved into the home days earlier. Authorities have said that Miller was intoxicated at the time.

Miller is scheduled to be in Oneida County Court on May 9.
