UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - One of two local teens accused of a murder in Utica last fall has rejected a plea offer from the Oneida County District Attorney's Office.

Robert Thompson, 19, is accused of murder and attempted robbery in the shooting death of 66-year-old George Garrow of Utica. Thompson and Trevon Patterson, also 19, are both charged.

On Tuesday, Patterson asked a judge for more time to consider a plea offer. On Thursday, Thompson didn't need more time. His attorney rejected the offer on his behalf, saying his client maintains his innocence.

George Garrow was shot to death last November in his Dudley Ave apartment while he was preparing for Thanksgiving dinner the next day.

Thompson is due back in court on Monday, at which time his attorney will make certain motions, or requests, on his behalf. Patterson is also due in court on Monday to decide on that plea offer.
