Utica Police investigate shots fired on Kemble Street

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica Police responded to a report of shots fired Wednesday afternoon on Kemble Street.

It is unclear as of this writing if anyone was hit.

The call came in shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Kemble Street.

Several police markers were seen in the area, marking where key evidence is located. Shell casings were also laying on the ground as well as on a windowsill of the Loretto Utica Center, which several witnesses say was the target of the shooting.

Numerous police vehicles were on the scene with a a large area taped off while authorities interviewed witnesses.
