Madison-Bouckville Antiques Show founder sells land

BOUCKVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Madison-Bouckville Antiques Show that takes place annually will no longer happen in its current form. The founder of the show and owner of the 90-acre property has sold the land to a farmer.

The land was formerly used for agricultural purposes and the new owner plans to return it to a farm.

The current owner, Jock Hengst, announced his intention to sell back in 2007. The answering machine for Hengst confirms the sale and the fact that the antique show is done.

The new owner of the property is White Eagle Farms, based in Hamilton.

The annual antiques show brings more than 20,000 people to Madison County each summer.

Other vendors say that plan on returning. It is not clear exactly how next year's show will look.
