New Rome business caters to man's best friend

By NICOLE PITT

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - There's a new business in Rome with a mission to take care of man's best friend.

A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday at Complete Canine on Martin Street in Rome, which offers dog training services.

Your dog can receive behavioral training, dog obedience classes, agility classes, even puppy pre-school.

Owners Dave Carr and Paula Russello have been training dogs for years, and now they've decided to offer a doggy day care and boarding as well.

"We're not just qualified canine behaviorists, but we're also trainers," Russello said. "We're selective on who we let in and how we let them in. It's not that we turn anyone away...(we just look to) meet certain standards when they come in."

"Stress free environment for their dog. a place where they can learn play and stay," Russello said of what the facility offers.

Complete Canine also plans to offer pet photography and grooming services in the future.
