UTICA, N.Y. - A second phase of layoffs for employees at ACS in Utica is scheduled to begin August 30 with 55 employees set to be let go.

158 people are employed at ACS, according to the New York State Department of Labor, which states the site is now scheduled for closing at the end of the year. Earlier notices had indicated that the site would shut down August 1.

Xerox, which runs ACS, says that it will maintain a presence at the Bleecker Street site, stating that they have other business units at the site that support other clients.
