No swimming lessons this year as Utica Public Pools open for 2012

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - While it was rainy for a good portion of Monday, it was open swim in the City of Utica public pools opened for the 2012 season.

The Addison Miller Pool in West Utica, Buckley Pool in East Utica, and Seymour Pool in North Utica are all open 1 - 5 p.m. , but there will not be swimming lessons this year due to budget cuts.

There was some discussion earlier in the year about charging admission this year for municipal pools, but that idea has been taken off the table for now and all pools are free.
