HERKIMER COUNTY SCHOOL MERGER STRAW VOTE RESULTS

(WKTV) - Herkimer County voters went to the polls Thursday in a non-binding straw vote to determine if the Herkimer, Frankfort-Schuyler, Ilion and Mohawk Schools should merge.

After all the results were tallied, Frankfort-Schuyler voters overwhelmingly said no to the merger while the other three districts supported the plan.

Because the straw vote had to be unanimous, the merger plan will not move forward.
