UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Syracuse Diocese is offering a $1,000 scholarship for students at the soon-to-close Rome Catholic High to continue a catholic education at Notre Dame High School.

"It's obviously been a major part of their community," said Notre Dame Principal Sister Anna Mae Collins. "We would like them to know that we realize, they need time to transition. Then they are ready and at an appropriate time, we will reach out to them and make the transition to Notre Dame as smooth as possible."

Transportation expenses has not been worked out yet, but the diocese has offered to help with that.
