Hamilton College Director of Admissions on NBC's Today Show

NEW YORK, N.Y. (WKTV) - With college acceptance letters going out this time of year, a familiar face was on the Today Show with advice for parents and students.

Hamilton College's Director of Admissions Monica Inzer chatted with Matt Lauer, answering questions about college financial aid.

Her bottom line to families sending kids to college is - get in touch with the financial aid office and do it early.

"What about, as a student or a parent, if I'm not satisfied with it, what recourse do I have?" asked Today Show Anchor Matt Lauer.

"I don't know that a school can always match other offers," Inzer said. "We do want to hear...maybe we missed something, maybe you're experiencing economic hardship that didn't show up in the formulas. We want to have an opportunity to fix it."

Inzer went on to remind parents that the workers at the college are not the enemy. She says they are wanting to help you.
