Moving-in day for students at Pratt Institute

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Thursday was moving-in day for a class of around 83 freshmen at Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute's Pratt Institute in West Utica.

Students came from all over the country, and as far away as Korea and Singapore, saying that if you want the best art school, Pratt is where you want to go.

"The first thing I did when I was checking out colleges, I actually just googled 'top ten art schools in the U.S.' and Pratt comes up as about four or five, I think, so it's pretty high up there," said Pratt Freshman Juliana Kokolar.

Students complete their freshman and sophomore years in Utica, and then transfer to Pratt in New York City for junior and senior year.

Classes in Utica begin on Monday.
