Hanna sends another letter to President Obama

UTICA, N.Y. (WKVT) - Congressman Richard Hanna has sent President Obama another letter urging FEMA to help out flood victims here in Central New York.

Hanna spent several days touring the hardest hit areas here in his 22nd Congressional District the past two weeks.

He says there is a qualification process that FEMA will put the state and the communities through, but is hoping for the best, "The thresholds are about $3.27 per capita per county, and 27 million per state. It's a wait and see thing which I have said all along. What I've seen, we should certainly reach that threshold, but you never know. But that's FEMA's job. So we'll see."

Hanna says he knows how difficult it is for those who lost so much in the flooding, but he is asking Central New Yorkers to be patient, he hopes FEMA aid will come through, and soon.
