Herkimer County officials continue stabilizing communities

Herkimer County officials are continuing stabilizing their towns and villages in the wake of the devastating floods.

Herkimer County Board of Legislature Chairman Vincent Bono said that county is still in a state of emergency.

Officials say that Mohawk and Van Hornesville are under a boil water advisory.

In the Village of Herkimer, there will be no green waste pickup on Monday. It will be rescheduled.

Also in Herkimer, no unnecessary travel will be allowed, because of the amount of site-seers who have made their way to the village.

Also, county officials say that trash pickers will be ticketed.
