Influenza vaccinations scheduled for Otsego County

OTSEGO COUNTY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Influenza disease has not yet peaked in New York State, and many experts believe that the best means of prevention for influenza this season remains vaccination.

The Otsego County Department of Health recommends that vaccination efforts continue throughout the influenza season.

The Otsego County Department of Health will be holding adult flu and pneumonia clinics at the following locations:

  • October 13, 5 - 7 p.m. at the Meadows Office Complex in Cooperstown
  • October 15, 10 a.m. - Noon at Nader Towers in Oneonta
  • October 18, 10 a.m. - Noon at Cherry Valley Meal Site
  • October 20, 10 a.m. - Noon at New Lisbon Meal Site
  • October 21, 10 a.m. - Noon at Elk Park Meal Site in Oneonta
  • October 29, 10 a.m. - Noon at Richfield Springs Meal Site
  • November 3, 2 - 5 p.m. At The Plains Parish Homestead, 163 Heritage Circle in Oneonta

The cost for flu shots is $25 and $53 for pneumonia shots. If you have Medicare Part B, please bring your card and the health department will bill Medicare for you.
