Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney released a statement Tuesday on the Death of Oneida County Sheriff Deputy Kurt Wyman.

Tenney said, "On behalf of the residents I represent in Oneida County, I would like to express our most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Oneida County Deputy Sheriff Kurt Wyman who was shot and killed in the line of duty this morning. Furthermore, I would like to sincerely thank his family for their sacrifice, and to remember all of those who are serving in our law enforcement, firefighters and military, daily risking their lives to keep our homes, our communities and our nation safe.

"Thank you for your service. Deputy Sheriff Wyman will certainly not be
forgotten for his heroism and honorable service and, as a state
representative, I will do everything in my power to support his family
during this difficult time."
