$1,000 donated to Herkimer County Humane Society thanks to you, the viewers

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - Another humane society is a little bit richer tonight, thanks to our viewers who participated in our "save the Faces" campaign.

WKTV presented the Herkimer County Humane Society with a check for $1,000 - one of four checks we're giving out this week to four local humane societies.

Don Pinto, a board member for the Herkimer County Humane Society says the money is couldn't have come at a better time.

"Right now, this time of year, we have more going out than we do coming up," Pinto said. "So we're going to put it right in our general operating account. Then the board will meet and decide what we are going to do with it. Chances are, it's going to help out with operating expenses."

On Friday, we head to Cooperstown to deliver our fourth check to the Susquehanna SPAC.
