Father-son scare team ready for Halloween in Deerfield

Dave Dellecese

DEERFIELD - The Burr family loves Halloween. They love it so much, that each year their displays get bigger and better.

A fog machine, mp3 player, air compressor, motion sensor. All of those things make up the creative displays at the Burr Hill Bone Yard. But what might surprise you, is where the ideas come from.

"Mostly I come up with ideas," said Brian Burr, 9, of Deerfield. "I always just build things with my imagination and dad builds them for me."

Things like a pirate ship complete with smoking cannons line the yard. The 9 year old is the brains behind the bone yard, but it's his dad' s hard work that makes it come to life.

"To me, it's everything," said Burr's father. "It brings me and him close together. We' re out here, we spent a ton of time out here. It's just...I just love to see his face when new things come to life."

At the end of the day, skeletons aside, this team wouldn't trade their time together for anything.
