Democrat Bill Morehouse wins race for Utica Common Council President

UTICA - The race for Utica Common Council President is over.

Oneida County Board of Election officials have finished a recount in the race and announced that Democrat Bill Morehouse has beaten Republican candidate Mello Testa.

After a recount and totaling up the absentee ballots, Morehouse led with 6,033. Testa had 5,443 votes.
