Three men arrested in last week's NBT Bank Robbery

MIDDLEVILLE - State police say they've solved last week's armed robbery of a Herkimer County bank with the arrest of three Utica men. Several different police agencies blazed the trail that lead to the arrest of these men.

Dolgeville Police helped set up roadblocks within minutes of a gunman coming into the NBT Bank in Middleville last Thursday afternoon and demanding money.

The roadblocks helped track down and eliminate one man as a suspect.

But it was earlier this week when a confidential informant tipped off Whitesboro Police that new information came in, allowing police to search the Neilson Street apartment that Victor Pett and Donald Bianchi shared.

That search was Thursday, and before the day's end, police arrested Pett, Bianchi and Pett's brother, Gary Pett.

"A search warrant was executed yesterday, December 13 at the Neilson Street address," said Lt. Dave Krause with the New York State Police. "And evidence associated with the Middleville bank robbery was recovered."

Gary Pett, Victor Pett and Donald Bianchi are under arrest for a charge of first-degree robbery.

They're currently in the Herkimer County Jail with bail set at $150,000.
