FRANKFORT - West Frankfort Elementary students held a bakesale today, with the money being donated to a girl who went to their school over ten years ago.

Katie Briggs, now a college student, recently underwent a full liver transplant after being diagnosed with a rare illness called "Wilson's Disease."

And these elementary students wanted to help Katie with her tall stack of medical bills. Tthey say today's bakesale was a success, selling out in only two hours.

The girls say Katie did not know about their fundraiser, and they plan on giving her the money early next week.
