Bar fight ends with one police officer injured

Two people will be headed to the New Hartford courtroom soon after their alleged disorderly behavior during a police investigation into a possible bar fight. The scuffle between the two people and officers left one officer injured.

According to New Hartford Police, officers responded to reports of a bar fight at the Killabrew saloon around 11:30 Saturday night. That's where they found Thomas Neiss of New Hartford sitting in his car.

When an officer attempted to talk to Neiss he quickly opened his door, striking the officer. They attempted to take Neiss into custody but say his sister, Amy Boudreau, stood in their way.

A scuffle broke out and Boudreau allegedly hit two more officers. One sustained minor injuries after the woman kicked him.

Police say Neiss smashed out a rear window of a patrol vehicle. Both have been arraigned and are facing several misdemeanor and felony charges.
