13-year-old shot in arm after party in Utica

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica Police say a 13-year-old was shot in the arm early Saturday morning during a fight at a house party at 1212 Taylor Ave. in Utica.

People in the neighborhood told our camera crews at least 40 people were involved in a fight during what's being called a "Back to School" party.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. Sunday.

A neighbor said they had called police to file a noise complaint earlier in the evening.

Shortly after, the fight broke out.

Neighbors tell us the 13-year-old was hit with a bullet as she was running from the residence.

At least two bullets hit a vehicle in a neighboring driveway.

The teen was rushed to the hospital for a gunshot wound to the upper arm. She's been treated and released.
