State Police still in search for missing Waterville man

WATERVILLE - Authorities still have no sign of a missing hunter and are still searching for the Waterville man.

Greg Williams, 47, was last seen on New Year's Day.

A command post has been set up at the Waterville Fire Department. State troopers released details about the search during a news conference Thursday at noon.

Williams is described as 5' 10", 195 pounds, black and grey hair, wearing glasses, and possibly a camouflage coat and grey wool hunting pants.

According to his wife, Williams went out hunting New Year's morning alone in Tassle Hill.

Crews have been focusing their search efforts in the Tassle Hill State Forest. Friday, about 25 volunteers joined in on the search. Search and rescue squads remain optimistic that they will find a solid lead.
