Statement by Elizabeth Eaton, daughter of Ed Bogan

A statement by Elizabeth Eaton, daughter of Ed Bogan:

My name is Elizabeth Eaton. I am Ed Bogan's daughter and Kevin Adams' aunt. I would like to give a brief statement on behalf of all of the children of Ed Bogan.

I first would like to express, on behalf of my entire family, thanks and gratitude for the outpouring of calls and support on behalf of my father, Edward Bogan. My father's death has been extraordinarily difficult. We realize that this has been traumatic not only for our own family, but for the community at large.

In addition to thanking you for your praters following the death of my father, my family would like to share with community our complete and undivided support of Kevin Adams. My father and his grandson, Kevin, were extremely close and I can think of no one less likely to be in this situation than Kevin. I know that my father would have instantly forgiven Kevin, and my brothers and sisters and I instantly forgave Kevin well.

Given the nature of the investigation, I am unable to talk in specifics about Kevin's personal circumstances or about the circumstances leading up to my father's death. I believe that I can share with you that there was a physician's appointment scheduled for Kevin on the afternoon of January 4th. We firmly believe that this is a mental health issue. We would like to tell the community more but cannot chance jeopardizing Kevin's defense.

In summary, our family would like to give you our heartfelt thanks for your thoughts and prayers. We would respectfully ask that you would direct your thoughts, good wishes, and prayers not only to my father, but to Kevin Adams as well. Many people in the community thought of Kevin previously as a fun, good-natured, and loving person. Please don't forget about the Kevin that you personally knew. We would ask that you be supportive of our entire family as we seek to provide Kevin with the mental health assistance that he so desperately needs.

Thank you for granting our family privacy as we continue to go through the grieving process for my father. I am unable to answer any questions at this time.
